Rick Harrison, the well-known star of the reality TV show “Pawn Stars,” is deeply mourning the death of his son, Adam Harrison. Adam, who was 39 years old, tragically died from a drug overdose. This heartbreaking news was confirmed by Rick’s spokesperson, Laura Herlovich, to The Las Vegas Review Journal.

The Clark County Coroner provided further details, stating that Adam’s death was an accident caused by a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine. A more detailed report from the Coroner’s office is expected to follow.

Fentanyl-related deaths are a growing problem in the United States. The CDC reported that in 2022 alone, 73,654 people died from fentanyl overdoses, which is more than twice the number of deaths from 2019.

Adam Harrison worked as a plumber and was not a regular cast member on “Pawn Stars,” the show centered around the family’s pawn shop, Gold & Silver Pawn. Although Adam did not appear on the show often, he was involved in the family business.

The Harrison family, through Laura Herlovich, requested privacy during their time of mourning. Rick Harrison shared his grief on Instagram, posting a touching photo of himself with Adam and expressing his love and sorrow with the message, “You will always be in my heart! I love you Adam.”

Corey Harrison, Rick’s oldest son, also expressed his sorrow on social media. He posted a childhood photo of himself and Adam in a bathtub, writing, “I will always love you bubba,” showing his deep affection and sadness over his brother’s death.

The tragic news about Adam’s death was first reported by TMZ, and the Las Vegas Metro Police Department is investigating the circumstances surrounding the overdose. Rick Harrison confirmed to FOX News Digital that fentanyl was the cause of Adam’s death.

Rick used this moment of grief to highlight the urgency of addressing the fentanyl crisis. He expressed his frustration with the lack of measures to stop the flow of this dangerous drug and called for stronger efforts to combat the crisis to save lives.
